Paint It Blackhawks Covering Team Canada’s Red And White Scrimmage Game
August 27th, 2009 | by Christopher Ralph |My colleague at The Hockey Writers (THW), Jim Neveau, who also covers the Blackhawks did a stand up job covering the ‘Hawks at the Team U.S.A. Orientation Camp held just outside of Chicago in Woodridge.
I will be venturing down to the Saddledome here in Calgary, Alberta in the next hour where Team Canada’s Red and White scrimmage game will be held.
Close attention will be focused on the no less than four Blackhawks at camp – Keith, Seabrook, Sharp and Toews. Expect a report back on the weekend.
Eric Duhatschek of The Globe and Mail reported today “Babcock has game plan for scrimmage” game tonight.
”One period will be devoted exclusively to five-on-five play. One period will be devoted to special-teams play, with each squad – Team Red and Team White – receiving a chance to play 10 minutes with the man advantage and 10 minutes killing penalties. The final period will start with four-on-four play and then conclude with 10 more minutes of five-on-five hockey.”
The rosters of the Red and White squads can be found here. Keith and Toews will be lacing it up for the White squad, while Seabrook and Sharp will be sporting Red jerseys.
